IBR 2013 Shake-Down Rally
April 4-8th, 2013
Registration will open Fall 2012.
Come join The Rally in and around Oklahoma for a shake-down ride before the 2013 IBR. This rally is limited to registered riders in the 2013 IBR. I am hosting this event to assist riders before the July 1st, 2013 event.
While this is not an official IBA event, I have consulted with Lisa Landry and Mike Kneebone to create a shake-down ride that will benefit IBR participants. The rally will consist of three legs, each approximately 24 hours in length. There will also be mandatory layovers. Riders will conform to all 2013 IBR rules (Note: I will not require MedJetAssist, or similar, for this rally).
April 4th 1800 - cookout at the RM's residence.
April 5th 0400 - first leg begins Broken Arrow, OK
April 6th 0900 - first leg ends (breakfast/lunch provided to riders) Broken Arrow, OK
April 6th 1300 - second leg begins Broken Arrow, OK
April 7th 1100 - second leg ends (lunch provided to riders) Broken Arrow, OK
April 7th 1430 - third leg begins Broken Arrow, OK
April 8th 1530 - third leg ends Broken Arrow, OK
April 8th 1830 - dinner banquet and awards ceremony Broken Arrow, OK
The cost for this event will be $55 for solo riders, and $80 for two-up riders. This includes up to four large meals at the RM's residence, a rally shirt (rider's choice of short-sleeve or long-sleeve!) and a high quality nylon rally flag.
This format gives riders 76hrs riding/on the road & 7.5hrs downtime (other than sleep bonuses - I'll have two). Riders can choose to do all three legs, just two legs, or just one leg. It's up to the rider to choose what they can spare the time for.

Once again, The Rally has teamed up with 'Hoagy' Carmichael to support Hoagy's Heroes and his long distance charity rides philanthropy. Your registration optionally allows you to support Hoagy's Heroes, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. After the rally, each rider will receive a donation receipt from Hoagy's Heroes, that can be deducted from one's tax return.
